I am flooded with words in these woods, but often get so distracted by life that they go unwritten. In November, 2015, I wrote the first draft of Mistaken with the positive push from the National Novel Writing Month challenge. Not only did I reach the goal, I learned so much about my writing process and how it has evolved over the years. Three months later, while I continued to write, I have realized how dependent I have become on the power of posting. As we like to say, “It you don’t post, it didn’t happen.”
This year I have a monthly schedule of writing plans. The ultimate goal for 2016 is to continue with the momentum of writing on a regular basis, even if it’s only a few words on the weather. Flooded Woods will focus on content, rather than design, for now. Some of these musings may be incomplete and scattered across unexpected places and genres. My hope is that the seeds will grow into something that reaches someone who needs to read that line, that poem, that story, even if only for a moment…and possibly inspire you to create your own.
